ABOUT ME
I am the son of immigrant parents. From the Philippines, they originated. My father joined the United States Naval Force while they were stationed in the Philippines and he came to America with my mother to seek better opportunities. In the late eighties in long beach California, I was born and raised and currently reside.
Since 2016 I was formally diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder but symptoms started as early as 2008. It has affected me in insidious ways and will probably continue to affect me for the duration of my life.
My art is a way for me to cope. Everything that I experience is portrayed subconsciously through painting and drawing.
I am always frustrated and unhappy with my work but I love creating. In a way it keeps me sane and through that glimpse of hope I trudge along. Inspired to express my negative emotions and hopefully one day prove them wrong.
Amongst all the artsy stuff, I enjoy sports, particularly boxing and other combative, going for long walks, cooking, and when I can actually focus, reading.
